Alesch Vital

Vital’s cultural output is closely bound to the social, economic and territorial conditions in a certain space and time. In his artistic approach, everything is tied to what comes before the creative act and what is behind and in front of it. In a career spanning decades, Vital has punctuated his production with periods of reflection on himself and his work. His family has also played a part in this contemplation. The result is a series of “self-portraits” which depict turning points for him as an individual and for his family, while also constituting the context in which art and life follow each other.
